Mark Bridgeford is a musical refugee. After 37 years as an internee in the retro-band, MAGWHEEL AND THE LUGNUTS (featuring the “Magnetts”) he’s on the run from modern sounds and the confines of today’s musical landscape. He’s currently taking refuge in the primeval jungle of 1960s folk and rock, where he finds himself haunted by the ghosts of artists from the COFFEE HOUSE BEAT GENERATION and early psychadelia.
From time to time, he might break into an Irish ballad, cannibalize an Eric Clapton classic, or perform a self-composed cowboy song. But in the end, he is eternally destined (condemned?) to wander these musical wastelands, forever between the winds, perhaps, searching in vain for fellow travelers on his lonely journey.
