Joe Nazz started singing at the age of 3 in church, singing in multiple choirs growing up in middle school, high school and college. At 16 he picked up the guitar by learning from books and other friends; he also picked up the piano the same way, growing up in Hawaiian Gardens and then moving to Azusa and settling in Glendora for the last 20 years. Joe Nazz & Electric Medicine’s music is blues based, country fried, psychedelic rock with influences from old blues, British & American classic rock as well as classic country music from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.
Joe Nazz has played and recorded with members of Robert John and the Wreck (Andrew Espantman & Robert John), Toto (Steve Maggiora), Edgar Winter & Walter Trout (Michael Leasure) and Rod Stewart’s band (Jimmy Roberts). The band consists of Joe Nazz (songwriter, vocals, guitar and keyboards), Shane Carlson (bass), Brayan Silva (drums and vocals) and Luis Ruelas (saxophone).
The band has finished a 6-song EP and is getting ready to release their first single titled “Hard Rain Coming Down” on all platforms, as they prepare for an upcoming tour of the southwestern United States.
